5 Day
"Pentad" Rotation

of Miryai awaken in the heart of hearts.
Within this system there are two forms of rotational
eating. One pattern is to cycle thru 5 different cuisine's from different
parts of the world, one cuisine per day. The other is to cycle thru five
cuisine's during a fifteen day Fortnight so that each cuisine is eaten
for 3 days each. In each of these two patterns we cycle thru various botanical
families of plants, limiting the consumption of food from any one botanical
"order" to three days, allowing two or twelve days without those foods
being eaten before the whole cycle starts again. We have divided
the year into five parts, each with 73 days. During this 73 day period
there are five Fortnights of aprox fifteen days each. These 15 days can
be divided into five tridays or three pentads.
During any season there are 15 5 day Pentad periods, the
last one of each season is reserved for a one or five day water fast, leaving
14 Pentads to cycle thru each season. Every Pentad, or five day period
of a season begins with the same cuisine. This occurs 14 times and then
there is the water fast at the end of the season. The next season starts
with a different cuisine that again repeats itself for 14 Pentads and a
fast. All five day pentad periods of the season beginning neat Oct 25 start
with the Asian cuisine. All pentads of the season beginning near Jan 6
begin with the mediterranean cuisine. The Mar 20 season begins with the
Szechwan, the June 1 with Mexican, and the August 13 season begins with
the Italian. (Having an organized plan of foods and cuisine's is important
when planning gardens, preserving food and preparing meals for large groups,
especially when a rotation diet is concerned. Following such a plan is
less important for individuals and families who purchase their food and
who do not wish to practice a rotational diet plan.)
During a Season there are also five repetitions of five
tridays. Each system has its merits and drawbacks. On Mars there are five
pentads per Fortnight, on earth only three. Here is a breakdown of an earthly
system containing three pentads per Fortnight:
