Fruit Tree Notes
Fruit Tree Mining of Ziwaneh on
Miryai Mt.
In the Living Gods, Let the
hallowed Light of Transcendant Truth be praised. Let the Sweet Mystery
of Miryai awaken in the heart of hearts.
The Gnostic system of Mani is based
upon the five elements of light, what He called "ziwaneh". In this system
all plants can be categorized into fire (or earth), water, light, wind
and zephyr elements. The following fruit tree lists conform to this pattern.
Multi seeded fruits are considered female, single seeded fruit are male.
(CITRUS) FRUIT
(Female - Sour Multiseed
Citrus):
Grapefruits, Pummello, Oranges,
Mandarines, Lemons, Limes, Kumquats.
Any citrus (or tropical) is
okay pruned to size in a hoophouse covered 6 months a year. (Carrizo and
C-35 citranges rootstocks most available. Trifoliate best for outside and
most dwarf.)

(NUT) CROPS
(Male - Singleseed
Oil/Nuts):
Almonds, Filburts, Macadamias,
Pistacios, Pecans, Walnuts, Chesnuts, Coconut, Brazilnuts.
Almonds and Pistacios don't do well
unless protected from spring cold and wet during Feb/Mar when they blossum.
Hoophouse needed then, thus only dwarf almond is best. Pistacio needs yearly
pruning. The few dwarf varieties suitable for hoophouse are best.

(STONE) FRUIT
(Male - Singleseeded
Soft Fleshed Stone Fruits):
Olives, Avocados, Peaches, Necterines,
Plums, Apricots, Pluots, Prunes, Cherries, Jujube, Dates, Mango.
Cherries & Apricots don't do
well unless protected from spring cold and wet. The dwarf varieties suitable
for hoophouse are best. Avo's & mangos need cover all winter and the
grafted take 1–3 years to bear. Avos produce at 3" trunk size and should
be left in pots until true bark develops on lower trunk. Winter varieties
of avos, like Sir Prize and Pinkerton, are needed for year round
harvest.
