Miryai
Mt Diet vs Other Vegan
Philosophies
Gnostic Teachings of Miryai Mt.
In the Living Gods, Let the
hallowed Light of Transcendent Truth be praised. Let the Sweet Mystery
of Miryai awaken in the heart of hearts.
There are numerous philosophies
on food, and many vegan ones. There are raw foodist vegans, paleo vegans,
buddhist vegans, Jain vegans, Taoist semi-vegans and many others. The vegan
philosophy of Miryai Mt is distinct from these. It does not forbid onions,
garlic, leeks, scallions and other alliums like many Buddhists, it does
not reject potatoes, carrots, beets and other roots like Jains. It
does not hesitate to eat cooked food like many raw foodist vegans do, nor
does it avoid and allot the same foods to the same seasons as does the
Chinese Food Theory. Miryai Mt veganism categorizes food into male and
female, or sun moon categories, emphasizing cooler moon foods in the summer
and warmer sun foods in the winter. This is similar to the Chinese Thermal
Theory. It also categorizes food into five groups like the Chinese system,
but our groupings are not always the same. The Gnostic prophet Mani categorized
vegan food into five categories as well, but little has survived of his
system except that we know he categorized by taste: Sweet, Salty, Bitter,
Sour and Hot. Our food groups are based upon a solar and lunar expression
(a yin and yang division) falling under each of the five Living Ziwaneh
Elements of Fire, Water, Light, Wind and Zephyr. This yields ten divisions
of food which are eaten in equal amounts, not in the same day but within
the same year so that certain types of food can be eaten in more abundance
during certain seasons of the year that benefit most from their consumption.
Cooling watermelon in the summer heat for example, or warming garlic during
winter rains.
Peace to all....
